Born on 25 November 1968, Jillian Noel Hennessy is energetic Canadian performer and actress who has been praised for her notable contribution to American television. She has become well-known for her performances in the roles of Claire Kincaid in Law & Order as well as Crossing Jordan. Hennessy has also showcased her talents as an actor in films such as RoboCop 3 Most Wanted and the indie films Chutney Popcorn and The Acting Class and The Acting Class, in which she flexed her writing and co-directing muscles. Hennessy began her acting career along with her sister in 1988 playing twin call girls in Dead Ringers. The actress briefly appeared in Buddy the Musical - The Buddy Holly Story on Broadway in the year 1990. In 1993, she made her way out of musicals, and into the science-fiction genre, playing Dr. Marie Lazarus. She got her big break after the season ended, when she was cast as Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the hit NBC drama Law & Order.
